With the arrival of the warmer weather we all know; the extra trips to the pool and various summer outings tend to keep us away from our normal housework and cleaning routines. So we thought we’d share with you an easy-to-follow “cleaning guide” to help you keep a sparkling clean apartment while still being able to enjoy summer 2016!
Monday
Monday’s are hard enough, so here’s a small “to-do list” ‘til your week gets moving!
- Vacuum the Living Room
- Take out the Trash
- Dust Shelves and Knick-Knacks
Look at that, you’re done for today!
Tuesday
Your week is starting to get interesting, let’s pick this thing up-a-bit and focus on the kitchen in your apartment!
- Sweep the Kitchen Floor
- Wipe down the counters
- Put away the pots and pans
- Wipe down the refrigerator and microwave
Whew!
Wednesday
You’re half-way to the weekend! The pool in your apartment complex is calling your name!
- Vacuum your bedroom
- Make the bed (you know you’ve been neglecting to do this!)
- Sort through the mail (toss the junk mail)
- Rotate/Flip your couch cushions
Don’t forget to fluff those pillows!
Thursday
The room in your apartment you’ve been avoiding all week is here…The Bathroom!
- Clean the Toilet
- Scrub the Sink
- Change the Bath & Hand towels
- Scrub the Shower
You’re finished! Why not head over to the fitness center and burn off some steam! You’ve earned it.
Friday
You’ve worked so hard all week; take Friday off to enjoy your clean apartment!
Saturday
After you’ve slept in, it’s time to do some general straightening around your apartment (nothing strenuous on your to-do-list today).
- Pick up stray toys
- Pile magazines and books
- Clean out the leftovers from the fridge
- Take out the garbage
That was easy!
Sunday
This is traditionally a day of rest, but there are only a few small tasks to accomplish today.
- Straighten up the DVD’s/Video Games
- Pick up clutter
- Go to the supermarket
- Relax on the couch!
